Post Anniversary Celebration

We celebrated our post anniversary at this Chinese Restaurant @ SAFRA Mount Faber. Food was fabulous and we took few hours to finish our lunch!! I guess it was also due to the fact that food was serve slow... despite that we were the only customer for the 1st hour!!

He's always so ready for the camera when taking picture with Daddy...
When it comes to me, he tend to look away... =(

Feeding the baby while waiting for food to be served...
Didn't want to drink... just want to smile and "talk" to Daddy...
Still smiling when Daddy wiped away the milk stain...
Smiling so happily!
Kena force to drink again. LOL.
Happy face at the end of the feed...
Food that we ordered... Dou Miao, Peking Duck and Mayo Prawn. Not forgetting the 2 very small portion of fried rice that cost a bomb! We laughed when we saw the miserable portion.
We finished everything which is very surprising. LOL. It was a lot of food that we ate during that meal.
Eating with his fingers... Can't be bothered to stop him... at the end of the lunch, he was playing with the rice!! Taking everything out and putting on the tray. =S
Still picking...
Finally eating with the spoon! Is Kayden a left-handed?
A family shot....
Another shot... Kaleb seems to be in great misery. LOL.
After lunch, we actually wanted to go ION Orchard to get my pressie... but... but... but... we lost our way. LOL. And ended up at Suntec City. ha ha....

Kayden getting excited over the toy cars... wanted to get them and bring home!
Kenneth is always so tiring carrying Kayden everywhere whenever we go out. So... we found this ingenious way to "ferry" Kayden around! He quite like it... and thank god he is small size. LOL. Else I think the stroller will just give way.
Kaleb sleeping soundly... and Kayden happily sitting on the stroller as we made our way for tea break.
No choice, had to carry him so that he can drink his milk. They don't sell fresh milk at Old Town Cafe. =(
He was so tired at the end of our outing... and we went home pretty early too... but when we reached home, he simply refused to nap (which made Daddy very angry).
Overall, we had great fun that day! I hope the boys enjoyed themselves too. =)

MIL vs DIL

Read this very interesting article on the papers last week. It's about the 4 types of MILs that DILs fear and the type of DILs that MILs dread. Realise that it's quite applicable to me. =D

Some of the pointers really relate to me. For the benefit of those who can't read Chinese, let me do the translation. =D Please bear with me coz this is my 1st time doing translation. =S
The 4 types of MILs that DILs hate:
1) Treasure their son more than their own lives
2) If the son is good to the wife, they will get jealous
3) Wants to poke their nose into the son + wife's affairs
4) Very suspicious about the DILs
Pointers 3 and 4 is very related to my everyday life!! LOL. Maybe it's the family culture, but they just want to know what is going on in our everyday life!! I wonder if it's good or bad....
The type of DILs that MILs dread:
1) Everything evolves around the husband
2) Very self centered. Wilful. Doing things the way that she thinks is right and treating the husband like a "slave" or "follower".
3) Capable. Strong-minded. Husband is afraid of her.
I am pointer 2 and 3! LOL. I am being perceived as being very wilful and always doing things my style. Oh... and I had a good laugh when someone said that Kenneth is afraid of me... listening to me in everything and anything. Oh well, if only this is the case. LOL. They also feel that I am "capable" coz my qualification is higher. Maybe someone should tell them that there are lots of undergraduates on the streets!!
So... what type of DIL are you? Any of the above also relate to your life? =D

August 2010
Here we are... proud parents of 2 little boys. =) We have indeed come a long long long way. Went through a lot of happiness, anger, tears, quarrels and "hardships". Kenneth is a very loving husband and a doting father. Though he is very "block" (never know how to give surprises), but he is understanding and most importantly, care for the family. =) We are very blessed to have these 2 boys in our life now. Both were not planned and so they are a gift from God. =)
Happy 5th year anniversary, my dear hubby!! There will be more multiple of "5" years anniversary in time to come. =)

Stingy Smile-r

My father said that Kaleb is very unlike Kayden, who is always smiling. LOL. But I think likewise. Kaleb is trying very hard to smile to us when we talk to him. Just that, maybe his smiles are a bit "stingy". Corners of his mouth will just come up a bit... and that's his way of smiling. haha...

Oh, and he's 12 weeks old today!! It also means that I am left with 4 weeks of maternity leave!! Boooooo....

Moonie Festival Weekend

18 Sept - Saturday

It was a beautiful Saturday because we woke up only at 10am+. Kayden woke up at 7am+ to have a milk then roll around on his own and fell asleep again shortly. As for Kaleb, he is very good at sleeping through morning till late morning. =) It feels so good to be able to wake up so late. LOL.

Anyway, we left the house close to 12pm and head for Goodwood Park Hotel!! Went there to buy their famous D24 Durian Mooncake!! I am not a fan of durian but Kenneth is. He can eat 1 whole durian mooncake on his own. Too swAlign Centereet for me. Bought 1 box of D24 and 2 boxes of mixed flavours (durian, mango + pomelo, apple caramel and jackfruit). Wanted to have our lunch at the Chinese restaurant coz they have dim sum buffet and the price is only $25.80++ per pax but who knows... they don't accept walk in customers!!! Business is soooo good... I suppose the food must be very nice. We vow to go back there one day to try. Went to Mum's place after that. Immediately open up the box of mixed flavours and the jackfruit one is soooooo nice!! *yum*

Shannon, Russel, Trini and Aunt Pauline also came. The kids went out to play lantern and Kayden followed them. Poor mum need to follow him around for fear that he might fall down. Kayden was so happy running up and down the corridor while the older kids had fun with their paper lantern (think they were happy with the lantern coz of the candle. LOL.) No photos were taken because i was busy at home attending to Kaleb. Guess Kayden had so much fun that he had nightmare at night and also, he was laughing out loud during his sleep!! =)
19 Sept - Sunday
Need to buy milk powder for both the boys and we know that the NTUC around us will sure be very very very crowded. In the end, we went to this NTUC that is almost empty.... and it's at AIRPORT TERMINAL 3!! LOL. Oh well, Airport is one of our favourite place to go anyway.
The first time when we brought Kayden there, he was running around like a wild horse. But these few trips down, he kept wanting us to carry... the following series of pictures, you can see him chasing after Kenneth. LOL. Passerbys were all smiling when they saw him chasing after his Daddy coz it was so cute to see a tiny and small figure running around. LOL.

pls carry me.... he sure knows that he needs to stand in front of us to stop us from walking
pls don't go....

pls pls pls....
alright... in the end, did carry him... and he showed me his watery eyes... and red red nose and brows.
Before going to NTUC, we went to have lunch at Crystal Jade. Kenneth had fried rice, though very ex but it's very tasty. I had the ramen instead. Kayden had a bit of everything.
Kaleb was happily napping when we were having lunch. Woke up only to have his milk after we finished eating. What a good boy!
Waiting for food to be served... we were starving...
Daddy feeding him peanuts...
Ordered fried bread (which taste like man tou) for him and let him hold and eat. This kept him occupied for some time so that we can eat in peace. LOL. Kenneth used to forbid Kayden to use his fingers to eat.... but right now, he has no choice anymore coz his boy is simply very noisy and always whining for those utensils!!! Did I mention before that I always ended up in gastric after every meal? LOL. Coz I will get very angry and agitated when he refuses to eat and only wants to play or drink the ice water / soft drinks.
Bread is yummy.... (but pls don't order if you are there... not worth the money and it is nothing special!)
Seriously eating the bread...
When we left the restaurant, one of the waitress started playing peek-a-boo with Kayden and he started to laugh real loud. I was so pai say coz everyone just looked over and stared at him. =S

Suddenly became very daring and wandered off on his own...
The chase for us continue.. In this pic, Kenneth was walking in front and after learning from previous experience that Daddy won't carry him, he turned around, chased after me and asked me to carry. LOL.
Gave up coming to me and target changed back to Daddy.
Brought him to this little tiny playground and he was very very happy!! He understands that he needs to take off his shoes before entering the area. Even after when I carried him out and put on his shoes and he wanted to go back in, he sat down on the floor, whining and attempted to take off the shoes... coz he wanted to go back in. LOL. We explained to him that we are going off to supermarket and asked him to say good bye to the slide which he did and stopped whining. =)
Attempting to climb up the slide on his own after coming down...

His PlayGroup teacher said they brought the children to the playground yesterday and Kayden refused to leave after that. She had to carry him back. LOL. This was why I don't really dare to bring him to any playground coz I know this will happen. LOL.
