Mummy will Always be Mummy!!

Reached home at 8.30pm last night and as usual, Baby K was at the little corner inside my in-laws' room. Mattress is being placed on the floor with pillows and bolsters (from the whole family) surrounding it. He was very excited when he saw me and started whining, as if wanting me to carry. I made the "carry carry" action (clapping my hands and opening it), and he immediately lean towards me! I am soooooo over the moon! When the others (Kenneth and my in-laws) do the same action when Baby K is in my arms, this little fellow will turn away, pretending that they never exist! oh my.... baby really does know who is his mummy (despite mummy seldom keeps in company on weekdays now). I am so glad that he still wants me... I was so afraid initially that he will not be close to me anymore since I am not the care-giver now. Hee hee... I guess, to a baby, mummy will always be the mummy, no matter if she is a SAHM or a FTWM!

Baby K also knows how to clap his hands now! I only taught him for a short while on Sunday and yesterday, when I said "clap clap", he really clapped!! Baby is really growing up!! =D
Kenneth and I are planning to go for a trip next year and we are thinking of bringing Baby K along... We are thinking of going Maldives.... must wait till Baby K turns 1 yr old and hopefully, by then he will knows how to walk... =)

Ever so ready for the camera. Guess he is very used to seeing the little rectangle thingy (camera) in front of him. So much so that he will pause and smile! *LOL* He has been trained since birth!
By the time I am home everyday, he will be in his PJ... ready for bed. Our time spend together is really very very little... =( Unlike those days in Phoenix... But I am glad he is well taken care of by his grandparents... on the other hand, I am afraid that they will spoil him. =(

Meeting Another Baby!

Baby K met Kenneth's cousin's son over the weekend. I am not sure how is Baby Darryl related to Baby K? Cousins? or... uncle and nephew relationship? *confused*

Everything started off well. But after some time, Baby Darryl began to recognise his surrounding and started crying! His mummy had no choice but to carry him to the lift area and started to feed him milk at the staircase!! It was VERY HOT. Poor Baby + Mummy.

Baby K saying HI to Baby Darryl.
Baby K had a wonderful and very shiok leg massage by his 4bth yi po.

Both babies together! Finally, for once, Baby K seems to be a bigger baby! *LOL* Crying out loud coz he didn't want to be in the lying down position, kept wanting to "stand" so that he could JUMP! -.-"
Baby Darryl looking with amusement... must be wondering, why is this baby crying till the face is sooooo red!
Round and cute baby Darryl.... who is 4.5mths old!
After the group left, Baby K was totally shag out and nap for a very very long time. Woke up to eat his dinner and then continue to nap again! And during night time, he went to bed super early coz we were very tired too. *LOL*
There are more babies for Baby K to meet up in time to come. Not sure why, but this year seems to be a baby blooming year!! *LOL* I think by the time Baby K and Baby Darryl meet up again, one will be at the walking/running stage and the other will be at the crawling stage. =) Can't wait to see cutie Darryl again!!

One Week Plus...

Time pass really fast! Without realising, I had been working for 1 week plus. Work is slowly but surely starting to "flow" in. Love my colleagues (close to 2 of them) as we share common interests. Funnily, one of them, the birth date is same as Kenneth's and the other one, the birth date is same as Baby K's! They said we are fated to meet here and be in the same dept. *LOL* Attended an offsite meeting and my ex-manager was there too. Funny feeling coz we are now representing our own company. Nevertheless, we had a great time catching up!!

Baby K had progress quite a bit too. He is able to sit for a very long time now and able to change into the sitting down position when he's on his tummy and he can actually do it with ease! Quite shocking for me and I really miss those days when I was always around with him 24/7 (mostly). He is also always up on his fours but doesn't know what to do after that. *LOL* I think soon he will realise, that position is actually for crawling. *LOL*
Sitting very upright! Good posture that babies have!
Smiling for the camera...

Check out the big head!
The baby who is always happy and smiling... =)

A Visit to see Old Colleagues...

Took my Deepavali off-in-lieu today and brought Baby K to my previous company visit those good old ex colleagues of mine. Woke Baby K up at 6am+ because we need to leave the house at 7.15am. Reached Suntec before 8.30am!!
Upon reaching the office, Baby K was being "hijacked". He was being passed around and at one point of time, I had no idea at all where he was!! They carried him round the office and everyone took turn carrying him. As usual, he never fuss one bit and kept smiling (as well as drooling). I had a great time catching up. Funnily, I think Baby K got to see more colleagues of mine that I got to see them!!! *LOL* He took a short nap in Annie's arms and was very energetic again upon waking up!!

I stayed there for close to 4 hours (opppsss....) and left at 12pm+ coz they need to leave to go for Staf Conference. Walking round the floor, memories came flooding back. Those good old days... All of them are still the same. Once again, I felt the warmth... it was just like going home! But sadly, good times had already ended... I am no longer part of the "family" but we are and will be keeping in touch!
Good old Kelvin.. My Big Brother from the dept...

Joe... also another Big Brother from the same dept..

Pretty pretty Aileen...
My former boss! A very very nice lady and really a good boss!!
The one who I used to work closely with! Lovely Rosalie... Didn't manage to take the pic of another team mate...
Annie!! She really took very good care of me back then! Really makes me felt like, "Eh, how come my mum is in the office with me?" *LOL*
Priscilla!! Always disturb her to check stuff... *LOL*

Snapshots of Baby K

I managed to upload those pics of Baby K that Gary snapped with his professional camera! So love all the pictures... These are few of them.. enjoy!!

Serious look....
Doing exercise! *LOL*
Laughing... someone was making funny faces...
Hopeful look...
These days, he loves to stick out his tongue...
People always comment that he has BIG EYES.. big meh?
Nice shot... but too dark...

Ear itch?

He also loves to bite his lower lips....
humpf!
Tiny foot...
Stick out tongue again!
Mummy's and Baby's hands....
I so love the camera but I think it's too complicated for my simple brains. *LOL* I was telling Gary, I need not go studio next time for Baby K's pictures to be taken. I can just go to his house. *LOL*

Our Fab Weekend!

We had a busy busy weekend. Went to Mum's place and the Auntie Pauline's place. Had great bonding times with my family. As for Baby K, he had a great time feasting away!!

Celebrated Sis' birthday and fed him some Chocolate Royale Cake from Sweet Secrets. He totally enjoyed it... nothing new, coz he is a very greedy fellow!!
A shot with Daddy before going to Auntie Pauline's house with Mummy. Uncle Michael (Kenneth's brother) is so kind to send us there in Kenneth's car. Lousy Kenneth, still doesn't dare to drive!!!!! Haiz....

A shot with Auntie Pauline. Baby K's Gu-Po!
As usual, very happy and kept kicking his legs and swaying his arms... Attempted to crawl and I was so afraid that he will land on his face (which he usually does).
A shot with Grandma... Now I understand why people thought Baby K is a BOY! Look at those eyes!! A wise man told me I need to have a vision and what I want will be materialise... I always visualise of having a GIRL... maybe that's why, he is growing up looking like a girl (of course, still looks like a boy!). *LOL*
Mum with her 3 grand-kids!
And the 3 of us... =)

Gary took some shots of Baby K using his professional camera but I am unable to upload them in the office. Gonna try it when I go home. Stay tune!!

1st Day...

Yesterday was my 1st day at work. Nothing much to do, it's always like this on the 1st day. Was asked to browse through the intranet. Met 2 lovely colleagues, Lay Peng and Cara. The other people in my department seems to be very stress up at work. *LOL* They had been working here for a long long long time... eh... so not very young anymore! In fact, I am the youngest in the department. *LOL* Boss asked me to decorate my cubicle because it is very empty now. Only my notebook and few chairs around. *LOL* Slowly and surely, I will do it nice nice.. just like those days in the previous company.

This new work place is full of greens! I get to see trees and lots more trees everyday! Also get to see lots of doggies. Simply wonderful (as long as the dogs don't come near me)! Lunch is a problem though. I might need to follow Kenneth and bring home cooked food for lunch everyday! Hmm.. maybe should be his turn to cook for me now. *LOL*

Hope the rest of the days.. months... years will be good over here... =)
Simply love my new office and maybe will love my new workload... *LOL*

Jittery Feelings....

When Baby K went to apply for his Singapore citizenship last Tuesday, I re-newed my passport. Went to ICA this morning to collect my passport. Brother-in-law sent me there. I am just so used to just hopping up the car and off to the destination. *LOL* He said he is able to send me to work once he buys his own car. Right now, or rather, for the past 2 years, he has been driving Kenneth's little bluey FIT. After collecting my passport, went down to look for my mum and had breakfast together with her at the hawker centre.
Bought my favourite fried bee hoon! been 2 years!! The chilli is very shiok also! So miss it!!!
After breakfast, cab down to my brother's place together with her. (and that explains why I am able to blog and upload pictures!) Wanted to spend more time with my mum coz I will be starting work tomorrow. On her part, she wants me to have more soup and so, she's going to cook my favourite "hei dou ji jiao" soup later. *beam*
Kind of nervous about tomorrow. The butterflies feeling inside tummy. Having not work for 2 years, I am so scare that I am unable to keep up with the pace. Also, this is a new company, I am so afraid that I am unable to meet the boss' expectations. *LOL* I have to keep telling myself, everything will be fine. Hopefully, things will really turn our well... =) Compared to my last job, this one is heavier responsibility and totally different working environment!
Below are some random pics of Baby K when we went to eat on Sunday. The first time he sat on high chair outside.
Listening to others talking and playing with Father-in-law's watch.
Smiled until very "mian qiang"....
I don't know who he was staring at... so fierce look, very unlike him to have this type of looks. *LOL*

The Distant Feeling....

Ever since we came back, there are just so many pair of hands "fighting" to look after Baby K. People said I am very lucky because all these while, for the pass 7mths plus, I am the sole care giver. And now that we are back, he adapts to the new care givers very fast. In fact, it's too good to be true.

These days, it just feels like, he is not my son anymore. *LOL* The moment he wakes up, he is being carried away and he will only come back to my side when he needs to sleep at night. Those usual stuff which I used to do, like feeding, bathing, playing with him, etc, are no longer my "duties". Even if I want to carry him, need to "queue up". Sigh... I don't know if I should consider myself lucky or not. I know my in-laws are being helpful/kind... they even suggested letting Baby K sleep with them at night!!! Coz they are worried that he will disturb our sleep at night as we need to work the next day!! *FAINT* Of course, I turn down their offer. Come to think of it, quite sad.. But on the bright side, it also means I am able to go travelling, etc without having to worry about Baby K next time.
I think humans are like this. I used to "complaint" when I need to take care of Baby K alone. But now that I am back, it just feels funny like being "outcast" and seeing others taking care of him. I just hope that Baby K will not have the distant feeling towards his biological mother (who is ME) next time.

The normal days... playing with his toys on the bed. Able to sit up on his own pretty steady now...

Mother-on-law carrying Baby K... waiting for his porridge feed.

Enjoying his porridge lunch.
The so many pairs of hands trying to make him feel comfy in his high chair. Since our boxes will not reach us so soon, I got this high chair from my brother.
Notice the role reversal? Suddenly, I become the camera-woman aka the "xian ren". Sigh... What to do... People said, need to close one eye and life will get better... I need to close both eyes loh. *LOL*

Note: I am not trying to complaint in this post. I guess I am very lucky to have such supportive in laws. I just hope, they will let me take care of Baby K myself on weekends. *LOL*
