The Horrifying Experience....

I can't remember the date but I remember the time was 6am+ just few days before we were scheduled to fly back to Singapore. Whenever Kenneth was having morning shift, I would wake up at 5am+ to prepare his breakfast (not by MY choice). After he had his breakkie, I would pack his lunch in lunch boxes and he would be bathing.

During that "fateful" morning, I was doing the routine "work" and Kayden was lying on our bed, rolling around (he was only 6-7months old then). I remember I was in the living room, putting the lunch boxes into plastic bag when suddenly...... I heard someone muffling into my right ear!!! I quickly turned around, thinking that it was Kenneth coz he always like to scare me (in all sorts of ways and patterns). But... there was no one around!!! It was a very rough and low muffle... I broke out in cold sweat and at that moment, I was hesistating, whether should I continue with the packing or whether should I just leave everything and go lock myself in the room with Kayden (on the bed) and Kenneth (in the bathroom). I chose to go.....

Kenneth came out of shower and saw my pale face. Asked me if everything was ok... told him what happened... he said maybe it was just some neighbour talking (wall between our apartments is very thin). But... it wasn't!! Till date, I can still remember that horrid muffling voice. *shrug*
Kenneth went to work and told me to lock myself and Kayden in the bedroom till he comes back. I was thinking, if this "thing" wants to disturb me, it will be able to walk through walls, etc. No point that I lock us inside the room. After I calm down, I recollected that muffling and made out that, the thing was saying "HELLO"!! *faint*
For people who came to my apartment before, upon entering, there is a "split road". To the right will lead us to the guest room, laundry area, computer desk and common toilet. To the left, it will lead us to the living room, dining hall, kitchen and Master Bedroom. I never had a good feeling on the right side. The guest room is always very chilling and cold (even during hot summer days). And the common toilet area always look gloomy to me. But I had no choice but to go there often as I need to use the washing machine and also hang Kayden's clothing in the common toilet to dry. Believe it or not, I have the sixth sense and sometimes tend to hear or sense things that others can't. Oh well, might be due to the blood inside me....
Anyway, before we left the apartment for good, I took some photos of the place that we stayed and all these pictures seems to be gone! They can't be found in the camera memory card, neither in the HDD nor in the laptop!!
I always believe that such things exist and was always telling my friends that, I had no choice but to stay in the same apartment as them. They lead their lives and I will lead mine. Sorry for the 2 years intrusion... Never expect this "thing" wanting to be my friend just before our departure. I also thank god that it appeared only toward the end of my stay.
So... do you believe that they do exist?

Kayden's Progress

I realise that it's been a long long long time since I updated on Kayden's progress. Since I am kind of free this week, think I better do it now before my return to the "battle field" next week. =D
  • Coming to 13 months, he still doesn't know how to call anyone in the family. He will just go "eh eh eh".
  • He is also a boy of few words too. Throughout the whole day, he hardly "talk" but when he does, it will be coz he is complaining or "scolding" someone.
  • He likes to "dance". When he hears music, he will be on his knees and starts to shake his body. This has been going on for few months already.
  • He knows how to wave "good-bye", "hi-hi" and "clap clap" when we say out the words. He also knows how to show the hand sign "wait wait" when hearing the words. He also will lie down and sleep and sit down when I told him to.
  • He can crawl very fast (although seldom have the chance) and he will stand up and cruise whenever possible. He can also stand on his own for quite some time whenever he wants.
  • He understands when someone is scolding him and will either look away (pretending the person is not there) or smile at the person innocently (which will melt people's heart).
  • He is not that afraid of strangers anymore (unless being carried by them). He will smile to people and always want to catch people's attention just to flash his smile. *weird* But one thing for sure which never change from young till now, he still prefer females to males. *LOL*
  • He likes to pretend that the remote control is a phone and put it at his ear when we go "hello hello". Then he will put the controller at our ear, as if passing the "phone" over to us.
  • He will pop his pacifier back into his mouth when it drops out but till now, he still doesn't know how to self-feed!! Sigh... this shows how lazy he is...

I think that's about all... these are all I can think of. =p Will update more if I can remember...

Random

Was given 1 week MC to rest at home and since so eng, finally managed to upload Kayden's Birthday Celebration photos on to Facebook. Ha ha... Coming to almost 1 month since we had the party... Lazy to upload the photos here... so, for those interested, please go to the link below.

Though on MC, but still need to work... sigh... Calls kept coming in non stop. Laptop will be back with me tomorrow and I can foresee the endless emails which I have to clear. Sianz... To think that Doctor still said I need to rest more... oh well..
On a brighter side, heard that the Bonus Letter was given out last Friday! As I was on MC, not sure how many months I will be getting... (but pro-rated... still, better than nothing). Heard that Div I is getting better than Div II... hopefully mine will be a good one... =)

CNY @ Uncle Steven's House

I know Chinese New Year 2010 is way over... But I just gotten these pics from Mag's FB. Hee hee.. Many pictures were taken during CNY but none from my camera! Coz I was too busy either talking, eating or just simply nua-ing at relatives' house!! Nah.. not busy looking Kayden coz help is just everywhere around! *LOL* There are more pics over at Brother's camera which he promised to burn a disc for me... but till today... no sight yet. *LOL*

Lovely cousin Mag who very patiently looked after Kayden throughout the whole day when I was at her parents' home.
Kayden with his 姑婆... He was very amused with these tiny "oranges" which are growing on the "tree"...
The super nanny who help us to baby-sit the kiddos while the parents were busy... eh... "playing". *LOL*
Kayden looks so "properous" in this pic. *LOL* Totally doesn't look like him at all...
I have no idea what they were playing but seems like they really enjoyed... A LOT!! *LOL*

It feels so good to spend this type of festive season back at home. =) More to come!!

Horro Encounter....

I think I mentioned long long time back about this horror + eerie encounter which I had at the apartment shortly before my return to Singapore (when I was still at Phoenix)... maybe I will post about it soon... shared this experience with everyone... =) But for those of you who are still at Phoenix, you might want to skip this coming post... =)

Random Pics...

Below are some over due photos that were taken over the weeks.... in the order of events which happened over the period...

Kayden's 1st pair of shoes... Getting ready for his 1st birthday!

Normal weekdays when he is playing at home... look at how "well protected" he is... with all the pillows against the wall. *LOL*

1st day of CNY... went to Kenneth's cousin's Baby Girl full month party...
Choosing his birthday present... Auntie Trini bought this cute little tricycle for him which these days, we are very busy pushing him around at home. Thank god the living room is spacious enough...
Happy happy on the tricycle... (I realised that this romper that he was wearing was actually meant for GIRLS. *LOL*)
Checking in to the chalet for Kayden's birthday celebration. Kenneth brought him for a swim on that Sat morning...
Unlike when he was younger, he actually enjoyed a lot and never whine at all!! Too bad, it was quite hot (but no sun) so we only let him play for a short while (while I was perspiring non stop)...
Small small eyes...

Father and son bonding time....
Kayden's birthday cake! Born in the year of the Moo Moo... so ordered this cake for him. Had a hard time ordering coz most of the bakery shops were closed for CNY.
The front view... Everyone had a good laugh with those 6 little stuff which are at the front of the moo moo... *LOL*
Back home from the chalet...
Kayden's birthday presents + ang paos!! Not many presents coz most prefer to give APs. Kayden's bank account jump by lots after that.
A pose with all his presents + APs.
Another shot...
Attempting to open up his pressies...
His favourite colour is ORANGE coz he will always be looking for the round thing (that he is holding)... and even when we open up lego look-alike blocks (one of his birthday pressies from Shannon and Russell), he also will go for the orange one!!
Someone bought him a superman.. bib!
Superman Kayden!!
On his actual birthday, we went out for dinner after a very tiring day at work (for me)... Didn't change him coz it was VERy HOT!!
At the Japanese Restaurant @ Bottletree Park... (Been crazy over Japanese food these days... *LOL*)
Sitting on the table... playing with the foil thingy and his 叔叔.
Looking at Kenneth with his innocent big eyes...
Looking intensely at the phone...
His ice cream birthday cake from Angie...
Brought him to Polliwogs last Sat... Nice place for kiddos but very hot and stuffy!!! (despite being indoor and air-con)
Playing happily in the pool of balls....
Veyr happily crawling around (which he hardly has the chance to do so)... Kenneth was busy "chasing" and shielding Kayden from those bigger kids...
Crawling after some balls.... We will definitely go back again when Kayden knows how to walk... then won't be so shiong for Kenneth... *LOL*
Will be posting Kayden's birthday pics this weekend... Time seems to be not enough on weekdays...

It's been Confirm.. that I....

It's been confirm that I have been confirm!! (is serving my 6 months probation period) Mine is a new post, in fact, my whole team is a newly set-up one. I am very busy doing powerpoint slides and churning out pie chart, bar chart and all kinds of charts everyday!! So much so that my peer from another team is always laughing at me, saying I will become a powerpoint expert next time. Sigh...
My boss asked me into his room yesterday and started to talk to me about my appraisal. Been worrying for quite some time about this as he was rather nasty to another colleague who is also new to the company. Surprisingly, he spoke to me very nicely *phew* and said he will be confirming me... even gave me quite a good grading!! (Hopefully the upcoming Performance Bonus will be a nice fat one, though will be pro-rated, but still.. better than $0!!)

Been working for close to 5 months and next month, will be my 6th month here, in the gardens. *LOL* He asked me question like... whether do I plan to stay here long or I just want to take a walk in the garden and leave them next year. Ha ha... This was totally opposite from what he told the other colleague of mine!
Nevertheless, I think this is something that calls for celebration but sad to say, Kenneth will be working this Saturday and we already have plans on Sunday. Sigh... Family time seems to be not enough all the times.... and yet Government still keep asking people to have more kids. Ha ha...

Random Updates

Gotten Kayden's birthday celebration's photographs back and wanted to upload onto Facebook as well as blog about it this morning (in office)... BUT... FB doesn't allow me to upload!! and so, to keep everyone in suspense, I shall not load the photos here also. Hee hee... Maybe... (maybe only)... I will do it when I reach home this evening... IF I am not tired... =p

Brought Kayden to the Polliwogs @ East Coast on Saturday and he had loads of fun. Sadly, it was very crowded and he, being small size and still at the crawling stage, had limitation on the places he can play at. Kenneth was following him everywhere while he crawled and crawled. Think he had never crawled so much before. Ha ha... Too well protected at home, hardly had the chance to crawl on the floor (poor Kayden!!). Me, I was looking at them from outside the area. Almost "suffocated" coz the place was so crowded and barely any aircon. After a while, we went to the beach and enjoy the sea breeze....

It was a very nice family outing... Maybe this weekend, we can go somewhere... Airport? Ikea @ Tampines? I think... anywhere as long as there is AIRCON!!! *LOL* Singapore is far toooooo humid and HOT!!

Looking forward to our Hong Kong trip end of this month... After this trip, guess we need to wait for couple more years before the next one... sigh... For someone like me who needs to travel out of Singapore few times a year, it will be a torture... And so, I suggested to Kenneth, maybe for the next few years, we can spend some money and stay at Resort World or any other hotels!! *LOL*
I am also looking forward to getting our own flat come next year. This year is not a good time to shift. *LOL* It will be a major "project" because Kenneth will need to sell his current flat and we need to look for our own resale flat at AMK and my BIL also needs to look for his own flat (which my PILs will stay with him). I know Kenneth is not very looking forward to it coz he hates to pack!! We had a very hard time packing when we need to come back from Phoenix. *LOL* But still.... some stuff are just unavoidable. ha ha...
