4th Month Well-Being Checkup

Kayden went for his 4th month well-being checkup on 8th July. Poor baby, woke up at 6.15am and after drinking his milk, we left the house. His appointment was at 8.15am. He usually will go back to sleep and wake up only at 11am+. So, he was rather cranky.

He is weighing 6.2kg and is 64cm tall. PD said everything is good and that we can start him on solid. Gave us some instructions on how to go about doing it, which I already have the rough ideas from books that I had gotten. He also mentioned that we can bring Kayden to the swimming pool to swim! Well, I had already gotten the swimming neck float (thanks to Yanwen for letting me know where to get them) just that haven't got the chance to put it into action.

We were told to leave him in his diaper only after his weight was being taken. Lying down and waiting for the PD to come.

Realised that lying down is boring, so flipped over and be on his tummy.

Being checked by the PD who is dressed in the very cool army uniform!

Still ok and lying still at this point of time.

His crankiness kicks in. Not happy being checked because he needs to nap!

After being checked by the PD, we went to another building next door for Kayden's vaccine shots + oral.

Placing him on the bed for the vaccine shots after he had his oral vaccine. I think it tasted horrible because he kept spitting them out and the nurse, ever so "gentle", very roughly feeding him.

He was crying out loud when the shots were being administered. I guess it was either very painful or that he was being cranky (remember, he was suppose to nap few hours back). But as usual, he stopped crying after Kenneth picked him up and comfort him. Me? I was busy video-ing. Ha ha...

Luckily he did not develop any fever after the shots. He was rather restless at first but after a long nap at home, he was back to his usual cheerful self. However, the amount of milk intake has dropped slightly. Maybe he is still traumatised by the whole vaccine experience. Hopefully his appetite will resume soon.
