Eat, Shop, Play and Be Merry!

It was a super duper long weekend for us last week. 4th July is a public holiday. In honor of Independence Day, the airbase gave extra off days on 3rd and 6th July. On top of this, Kenneth took Childcare Leave on 7th and 8th July (Kayden went for his 4 months well-being checkup on this day). Having such a long break was something that Kenneth needs. And for me, it is just an extra "bonus" with another extra pair of hands at home to help with the Baby.

3rd July
We woke up very late as Kenneth came back home only at 7am, with good "news" as well as MacDonalds breakfast. Went out to have late lunch and by the time we were done, it was already late afternoon. We were still very tired and decided not to do any shopping (because we know we are going to walk and shop a lot the next day). Went to have my hair trim and brows wax. After which, went home.

4th July
It was a very very hectic day for us (including the Baby). We woke up pretty early and were out of the house at 10am+. First stop, we went to Chandler Fashion Mall. Been here for close to 2 years and this was our very virgin trip there! Had our lunch at The Cheesecake Factory (yum!) and after which, we started our SHOPPING!

Bought a lot of stuff, Abercrombie, Victoria Secrets, Bath & Bodyworks, New York & Company, etc. Thank goodness Kayden's stroller basket is big enough to hold some of the paper bags. If not, I can't imagine having to lug them along as we shop.

After getting OUR stuff, I realised that they don't have Carter's and Osh Kosh in the mall. We then decided to drive over to Arizona Mills. This was a last minute decision. Reached there and went to Starbucks to get some hot water so that Kenneth can do the feeding while I shop (like mad) inside the stores. Bought a lot of Baby's clothing. I can't remember how many pieces I got (I still haven't unpack all the shopping). All in all, they cost less than USD50! It was quite a good deal with the discount cards that I have.
We shopped so much, my legs felt like they are going to break! Reminds me of those days when I went to Bangkok with my girlfriends where we would be out from morning till night! All those walkings! Gosh...
Went over to Joe's Crab Shack to have dinner. Don't feel like eating, due to the super hot weather. But as usual, Kenneth is super hungry! And poor Kayden, he was happily sucking his pacifier and relaxing in the car-seat when the staff there started to shout and sing (some customers' birthdays). He got startled and opened his eyes and arms super big!! I was seated just beside him and started to soothe him by talking and singing to him. Luckily he didn't cry.

5th July
Didn't do anything... Just went out to have lunch.

6th July
Went over to Dalphane's house to pass her some stuff for her confinement. Time flies. Her little princess is coming out soon. So excited for her. Left the place during evening and went to have dinner. When we were about to order, Jeslyn called and asked if I wanted to play mahjong. Ironically, it was Fabian (Dalphane's hubby) who wanted the game. So, after few hours, ended up back at Dalphane's house. Kenneth looked after Kayden while I was out. Thanks, hubby.

7th July
Kenneth went out from morning till night. I was very angry because he didn't even bother to call and report his "status". He came back and kept apologising. Well, forgive him since he came back with good "news".

8th July
Kayden went for his 4 months well-being checkup. I will blog about this in the next entry.

That's it. The super duper long weekend ended just like this, in a flash!

Happily sucking his soothie.

Dropped his soothie and gave me a smile.

The cute little bum bum.

Silly thing we did to our son. Daddy trying to swaddle him using his blanket.

Laughing happily after being swaddled. Actually he started to struggle and wanted to break free after this shot.
