Stocking up!

These are just portion of Baby K's clothing which I had stock up. There are still bags and bags of his clothing lying around on th floor. I am not sure how many pieces I had bought so far, and I am still going to buy somemore. Maybe I can have a "garage sale" and invite friends to my place, afterall, so many friends gave birth this year!! Is it the trend? So, whoever interested, please let me know. *LOL* And yes, some of the clothing here are for GIRLS! I just couldn't resist buying... they are just sooooo sweet and pretty!! Even if have no daughter, I will keep them and pass them to cousins or sister if they have daughters next time. Then they can wear and show me! Ha ha... Too bad, Shannon is a big baby now!
I still need to stock up on Baby K's toys. Gosh... So many things to buy and there are so many options out there. I hate choices!! Anyone knows what are the good developmental toys to get for babies?

  2. I stock up on baby DVDs from Baby Einstein and other baby brans (Darwin likes Mickey Mouse clubhouse)... they are well worth the price since they give us (me n hubby) half to one hour of peace (which is necessary esp during meal times)... we find dvds very valuable together with the portable dvd machine when we are on flights and retaurants... I know my kid is turning into a videohead.. but hey we all need the precious one hour for meals right @_@

  3. Sam: Ya, the DVDs from Baby Einstein are good but the problem is, they are not compatible with SG DVD player!! So sad... Darwin is so attracted to them? Beside these 2, any idea what kids are watching these days? It used to be the purple dinosaur during my niece's era....

  4. Oh I can answer this... Hahaha! My boy loves Hi-5 (the original cast), Thomas & Dibo the Gift Dinosaur. I can SING their tunes too! Hahaha!

And I agree with Sam. The portable DVD player is worth its weight in GOLD. I had a road trip just last weekend, and the player 'saved' us from much whines and wriggles.

  5. San: OooOooo... thanks! Coz my niece (8 yrs old) and nephew (4 yrs old) used to watch the Purple Dinosaur so not sure what's the "trend" now. *LOL*

So getting a portable DVD is really a good "investment". *LOL*

Thanks a lot! Guess I need to learn much more things from you experienced mummies!!

  6. Haha! U can 'try' a few kinds. My nephews adored Bear in the Big Blue House, but the Big Bear scares my son! He cries whenever it is on! Even Teletubbies, my son doesn't fancy (Thank God!). So his love is really Hi-5... guess he prefers humans. LOL!

  7. Oh! Teletubbies still exist? ha ha... Jayvon so cute leh... will cry when the Big Bear is on tv! I thought he loves bear... coz he has a soft toy named Bear Bear, right? hee...

  8. Haha... Yeah, you can still find Teletubbies. But for your own sanity, you may not want to intro them to Kayden! LOL! Don't regret... "Dipsy! Lala! Poh!" (my niece loved it... I 'died' each time she replayed each dvd again & again that time).

I guess it is the 'reality' of the tv shows that appeals or repels Jay! LOL!

  9. I like Dibo... but we only get to watch this when we are in Singapore.. cos they dun have it on the playhouse disney channel here (plus its only pathetic 2 hrs in the morning, 7-9am, then it becomes Hanna Montana no end... argh!!!!) Darwin very frightened on the Lion on Baby Newton (which teaches babies and toddlers shapes).. for some reason unknown to the rest of us (and the world)... he will SCREAM when the Lion comes on at the beginning of the DVD... so that is a NO-GO zone.. other titles I can think of:
    1) Little Einstein (not Baby Einstein)
    2) Handy Manny
    3) Pocoyo
